How To Reach Rajasthan - The road, rail and air connectivity is almost at par with the best in the country. This section will guide you in reaching rajasthan by various means of transport available from other places in India.

Delhi and Mumbai are the two main gateway cities to Rajasthan from international destinations.The nearest international airport to Rajasthan is Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), at New Delhi, about 250 KM. There are regular flights connecting Delhi and Mumbai and from Delhi and Mumbai to Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthan. There are direct superfast and other express trains for Rajasthan from Delhi and Mumbai. Daily superfast trains connect Mumbai to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Udaipur. It is always advisable to book in advance and carry either a confirmed or RAC status ticket before boarding the train.

A broadgauge network connects Jaipur and other major cities with Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The head quarter of North-West Railways is based at Jaipur.
Rajasthan by Road Rajasthan has 5655 km length of national highway and 8627 km of state highway. Four lanes NH8 passes through the Jaipur and Udaipur and Agra is connected to Jaipur through a four lane road.
