A 12-year-old girl was repeatedly sexually assaulted by a man as she was shopping with her family in Primark.
Police described the attack at the store in Bury, Greater Manchester, as ‘blatant’.
They have now released an image of a man they want to speak with over the disturbing assault.
The man groped the girl from behind on the first floor and continued to follow her around the store.
When she stopped for a second time she felt her skirt being lifted.
Upon turning around she noticed what is believed to be a mobile phone in the man’s hand, police said.
The girl ran to a family member who she was out shopping with and told them what had happened.
But the man reappeared and attempted to approach the girl again, until her family challenged him and he quickly fled out of the main entrance.
Police issued the image as they appealed for information about the incident, which took place at about 4.30pm on Tuesday, September 11.
PC Stephen Raine, of Greater Manchester Police, said: ‘This was a blatant and repeated sexual assault of a young girl when she was simply out shopping with family.
‘We are determined to find who has committed this offence.
‘We would ask anyone who recognises the man in this picture, or has any information, to get in touch immediately.’
